LONDON 2017

It is said that London is the best place to learn english and get along with an amount diversity of people. On April my course will travel to London to visit it and to learn who know our way around the city. 

We'll spend there four days and we'll stay in Satesfay London Elephant and Castle hostel which is located in South London near the London bridge within two km. This hostel have bar-lounge, WiFi in public areas, 24-hours front desk, 72 rooms. One of the rule that we must respect is that pets aren't allowed and we must respect the rest of the others guests. 

Near the hostel there are lots of things to visit as the Cinema Museum, The east street market, Burgess Park, The Southwark Playhouse, Ministry of Sound and many parks and markets that are around this area. 

On the other hand the hostel are situated 15 minutes far away to Piccadilly Circus. Specifically if we take the tube on Elephant & Castle Station we have to walk nine minutes from the hostel to the station. Then we must take the brown line called Bakerloo and we will wait approximately eight minutes (five stops). If we want to go to the center of London on Trafalgar square, for example, we must take the same tube line and stop on Charing Cross Station and we'll spend 15 minutes to arrive there. 

Two nights there, will go to dinner to a restaurants and we must know who arrive there and who return to our hostel. The first restaurant is Leicester Arms and is located in Piccadilly. If we are on London center (Trafalgar Square) we have to take the same line tube, Bakerloo in Charing Cross and in the next stop we will be in Piccadilly. Then we'll have to walk two minutes to arrive to the restaurant. But if we are on the Hostel we must have the same process I explain you before to go to Piccadilly Circus Station. After the dinner to return to the hosel we must walk two minutes to Piccadilly Circus Station and take the brown line tube to Elephant and Castle Station, the journey will be done in 25 minutes.

The second restaurant is Zetland Arms and is located in Kensington. To go there if we are in Trafalgar Square is a long journey where we spend 46 minutes to arrive. We must take the bus 12 on East Street and it must go to Oxford Circus. We must get off on Parliament Square (9 stops) and then walk three minutes to take the tube on Westminster Station and we must choose the green line to South Kensington Station. Then we have tot walk four minutes to arrive to the restaurant. To return to the Hostel we have to do the same we did to go but we must stop in  Larcom Street with the bus 12.

London is a place where there are a lot of monuments to visit. In my case there are three landscapes which I want to visit. There are the Royal Greenwich Observatory, the Buckingham Palace and Queen's Gallery. 

Royal Greenwich Observatory is an astronomical observatory founded in 1675 by Charles II of England. In 1924 was established as the reference of the time zones. Nowadays it is a museum and it it is part of National Maritime Museum. From hostel to there we must take the bus number 53 in Elephant and Castle New Kent Road on the way to Plumstead Station. And we have to stop in Lewisham Road approximately  on 25 minutes (19 stops). 

The Buckingham Palace, it is the official residence of the monarchs. It is famous for hosting the Royal Collection, an extraordinary collection of artworks from royal collection.  Originally was a petit Hôtel built for the first duke of Buckingham in 1703 and it was acquired by King George II in 1762 to convert it into a private residence. From hostel to there we must take the bus number 148 in Heygate Street in Shepherds Bush. Approximately on 23 minutes we must stop on Grosvenor Gardens (12 stops) and we will arrive there. 

The Queen's Gallery is a public art gallery at Buckingham Palace. There are works of art from the Royal Collection. It is situated at the west of the palace and was opened on 1962. From hostel to there we must take the bus number 148 on Larcom Street to Shepherds Bush and we must get off in Vauxhall Bridge Road approximately in 23 minutes (12 stops).
