In class we are talking about festivals. I was searching in my house when I found Albuquerque International Ballon Fiesta that impress me a lot.
This festival take place in New Mexico, Albuquerque during nine days on October. These days over 500 balloons fly in the sky.
The Ballon Fiesta began in 1972 when 770 KOB Radio celebrated a 50th birthday. The manager Dick McKee asked the first owner to had a air balloon in New Mexico if KOB cold use his new hot-air balloon as part of the festivities. Then they talked and decided overcame the record of England with 19 balloons. They wanted did it with 21 pilots, but the bad weather kept some of them from arriving in time, finally the festival had 13 balloons in the sky.The first festival incorporated a "Roadunner-Coyote Balloon Race", this rice has continued as part of the Ballon Fiesta today.
The Ballon Fiesta grew each year for decades and today is the largest balloon convention in the world.
